Travel Insurance
TRAVEL THE WORLD KNOWING THAT YOU ARE
PROTECTED!
PLEASE
TAKE A FEW MINUTES AND READ THIS IMPORTANT INSURANCE INFORMATION |
This is information that you need to know about
travel and your need for Travel Insurance today. And why you should always make it a part of
your travel expenses especially traveling abroad. The likelihood that something may happen to you while on a trip,
is unlikely. However, if even the smallest
problem occurs, a fall that breaks an arm or a leg, a car accident, nothing serious but it becomes a big problem when you seek
medical attention. Even worse, if someone should die while
abroad, is a very serious problem, let alone the
paperwork involved. Know this....your U.S.
insurance company doesn't cover you while traveling
abroad unless you have travel insurance included in your health
insurance policy, and you'll have to deal with that upon your
return home. This is a fact of
life today, and you need to be protected when
traveling anywhere, especially abroad and even within the US. |

Why You Need Travel Insurance
Everywhere Worldwide
Heaven forbid, if the accident is serious, or
even a heart attack,
and you need to be flown back home immediately for further
treatment after being stabilized. Well these things do
happen, the odds are low, but can you afford to take that
chance? The answer is NO! 2010 was the perfect
example of disaster while traveling to and in Europe. The
Iceland volcano erupted,
and tens of thousands of people were left stranded without a
hotel, without transportation in Europe, it was nightmare. Then
there were the Europe airline strikes, and European air
controller strikes, that again totally throwing travel into a
dizzy for people from every country traveling in/out of northern Europe.
There were earthquakes in Japan, totally interrupting travel on
the Pacific Rim, and shattering earthquakes twice in
Christchurch, New Zealand. Or it can be as simple as a
flight being late, and missing your connecting flight, and yes
the travel insurance company will
take care of all these flight during your travel until your
return home. Weather and mother nature are not ours to
control and that is an
unknown factor at any given time that can throw your travel off.
Travel
Insurance is a necessity for seniors especially those with
pre-existing medical conditions.
This is most important, because as we grow older we're likely to
have more health issues is a given, but with that said insurance
is needed by everyone, from youths to elders that travel abroad
for business, a holiday or school.
You’ll find the best travel
insurance packages to suit your needs from
single trip coverage for individuals, families or groups, to multi-trip annual travel insurance policies for regular travelers, we
offer a range of competitive product options that
provides a higher level of travel insurance cover. |
What you should know about
travel insurance
This is similar in context as 'what you should know about food'.
Well, it's somewhat complicated in general, but very simple if
you know the basics, and in the case of travel insurance -- it
is a matter of knowing what the travel insurance plan really
will do for you -- what is and what isn't covered. That is
the single most important equation in buying travel insurance.
Our Insurance plans are very reasonably priced, and we
have several plans to cover your particular needs.
Realistic scenarios and why you need travel insurance -
what does your insurance cover?
1. I'm only going on a high school graduation trip to
Europe; I'm young and healthy, I never get sick; and even if I should sprain an ankle -- what's the big deal?
2. I'm only going to Mexico or Canada after all, I'm
close enough to home if I have a problem, right?
3. Travel insurance is certainly cheap enough, and it
wouldn't hurt to get it, but I'll pass this time!
4. You've decided that it is a good idea to buy some travel
insurance after all, and the travel insurance web site said that you are fully covered for everything!
Well, I am covered for everything...right?
5. In 2010 tens of thousands of people are stranded in northern
Europe, without hotels, without
transportation because of the volcano eruption, are you going to be one of those
in 2011?
6. In 2010 proved a record number of airline strikes, and air
controller strikes in northern Europe
again stranding thousands of people, do you really want to be
one of those persons?
Well...the above scenarios may make sense to the person thinking
them, and the odds are that you won't have any problems on your
trip to another country [this does include travel to Canada or
Mexico from the US]. You're still thinking in the back of you mind
that you really don't need travel insurance. What are the odds
after all - pretty big odds that nothing will occur while your
on a trip? Anyway, you have flight insurance!
Well...that's where you'd better read the fine print and start
asking some questions. Because you are not covered for
'everything with every travel insurance policy! After all, the
travel insurance coverage that will or will not cover you, to take care of any type emergency that could arise while on your
trip - is for you! So check it out!

More reasons why You Should Buy
Travel Insurance . . .
There are hundreds of circumstances that could cause clients to
cancel their trip, return home early or force you to seek
emergency medical treatment while traveling. To demonstrate the
importance of purchasing travel insurance, and emergency travel
services, here are 10 common examples of what could go wrong for
your clients:
1. It's 10 p.m. and you and your immediate family arrive at the
airport for a connecting flight, only to find that your flight
has been cancelled. Who can assist you with finding new flights
to get everyone home?
2. Your bag was lost with your insulin inside. You need help to
locate your bag as soon as possible and have your emergency
prescription filled. Who do you call?
3. Your first visit to Europe, and your passport and wallet are
stolen. Where do you turn for emergency cash, and how will you
get your passport replaced?
4. You're involved in an accident and adequate medical treatment
is not available. Who will help arrange and pay for a medical
evacuation?
5. If a family becomes seriously ill and you must
cancel your trip, what happens to your non-refundable deposits
or pre-payments?
6. You arrive in Jamaica and your luggage doesn't. If it's lost,
who will help you find it? If it's delayed, who will pay for
your necessities? If it's stolen, who will pay to replace it?
7. Your cruise line, airline or tour operator goes bankrupt. Who
will pay for your non-refundable expenses? Who will help get you
to your destination?
8. You've lost your job, and cannot travel now, what to do?
9. Three weeks before your scheduled arrival, a terrorist
incident occurs in the city to which you are planning to visit. Who will pay if you want to cancel your trip?
10. You are at a beach resort in North Carolina, and you are
forced to evacuate due to an approaching hurricane. Can
you cancel your trip, and who will
help you evacuate and who will reimburse your lost vacation
investment?
Certain restrictions apply.
What's needed, what isn't needed travel insurance
basics
Your personal medical Insurance overall does not cover you when
you leave your country of residence. There are exceptions,
but this is the first rule to follow, and that is contact your
medical insurance broker and find out exactly what is and is not
covered when your travel to another country. To further
elaborate - it's also important to tell your medical insurance
broker exactly what countries that you'll be visiting. Therefore, this is an important question to
ask your regular medical insurance person first, and then the travel
agent how your covered before you buy travel insurance. Find out
exactly what is and what isn't covered, and go from there to
augment
what you do need in the way of travel insurance.
Particular types of coverage that are
needed while traveling to another country
These are important questions to ask the travel insurance
company, they are needed in your coverage:
1. The number one question -- trip cancellation insurance. This can
be costly to you if you don't have it. If you've scheduled a trip or tour abroad, get this
immediately. If you're unable to go for any legitimate reason, you won't lose your trip transportation and accommodation
costs, and this coverage is included in specific plans - not all
plans. Check the details on this coverage!
2. The second most basic question is flight insurance - terms are fairly
standard in the industry, but did you know that the million dollar flight policy that you
bought, most likely will not pay your benefactor a million dollars if something happened to your flight?
3. Does this travel insurance cover
DVT
[deep-vein
thrombosis]
in
layman's terms it's known as 'class coach syndrome' or deep-vein
thrombosis? This syndrome occurs on long overseas flights; it is
very important information to know if you're covered? Normally this is an irritating and uncomfortable
situation, but on rare occasions - it can be fatal.
Exercise while flying will help, but, you can
prevent this from happening - if you're
aware of the condition and what to do to prevent it.
4. Does your travel insurance cover a sudden re-occurring conditions?
Or pre-existing conditions.
5. Does the policy cover emergency vehicle transportation, ambulances,
air transport back to the US? This is most important if
you had a heart attack, a serious accident and or a death
abroad.
6. Does the insurance cover emergency services? If I twist an ankle
or break an arm or leg will this be covered? What do I do, and how do I contact the
insurance company from abroad?
7. Does this cover doctors, dentists and hospitals in the country that
you are visiting?
8. If I'm in a serious accident, and need long term hospitalization, will
I be covered to be sent home?
9. Does my insurance cover special transportation back home in critical
situations?
10. Repatriation - if a illness or injury results in death, will
it pay for expenses for Repatriation of bodily remains or ashes to the country of
citizenship?
These are all important questions that you should know the
answer to before leaving home, and have all the information at
hand at all times while traveling. Our Insurance
partner covers all these issues and it will bring peace of mind
to you that all will be taken care of while abroad in case of an
emergency.
Experienced travelers understand the need to have travel
insurance, because things do happen and you want to be covered
when
traveling abroad, you don't speak the language, you don't know
how to contact someone for help, it's simple basics, you need
help.
