Viking Star new in 2015
The Viking Star with only 930 guests, is the first all Verandah
Stateroom and Suites ocean cruiser and all-inclusive cruise and cruise
tour package, plus highly discounted airfares. This is the ultimate
grand dame of the small to mid-sized ocean cruise ships available today,
and this ship will put you in awe for ‘all those Included items’ that

The Atrium is gorgeous, light and airy with a fantastic
relaxed and leisurely but elegant setting for this marvelous new ship.
The Atrium from the Grand Piano to stairway lends to a special place to gather
or to find a nook away from everyone else to relax, and still enjoy
everything around you, yet be able
to enjoy the pianist and to rejuvenate and set back have a drink or chat
with friends or new friends that you'll meet aboard the Viking Star.
The Atrium is the centre hub to see and discover what new is planned for
today, tonight and tomorrow. And a place to totally be alone [as
possible] and enjoy some quiet time and just read is in the 'Library'.
And there will be some surprised happenings taking place here, but that
is a 'surprise' and for you to find out.
The Main Dining Area is relaxed and casual setting, but dining does not
stop here. There are several fantastic restaurants to enjoy on the
Viking Star, from the main dining room shown here at the left to some very unique
areas for dining aboard this exquisite new ship. One thing you
will notice in all common areas of the ship, and all the dining areas
are windows and views everywhere, you can't miss anything with sliding
glass doors and windows and glass everywhere. No gloomy space
here! And Dining is Your Choice! And as you read on, you can have
your own small groups private dining area.
For starters there's the Chef's Table that will offer some unique
tasting menus along with wine pairings, this area can also be reserved
and used exclusively for small groups.
Another totally unique dining experience can be enjoyed at the
Italian Grill, here you'll find exceptional antipasti, chef designed
pastas creatively with steak or other favorites that lend to a grand
'Mama Mia' experience! All fresh and authentic in the true Italian
flavors! This area too can be used exclusively and reserved for
small groups up to 12 persons.
Your next stop might be the World Cafe will be an experience in
itself, as this menu changes and could be just about anything really top
of your list for yummy and unusual fare to tempt ant tantalize your
taste buds!

For more casual dining experiences you might like to enjoy the
Wintergarden or the Aquavit Terrace. And for you Viking river
cruisers, the Aquavit Terrace is at the stern of the Viking Star, and
not where it's located on the Longships in the bow area.
Wintergarden Lanai
When you yearn for serenity, there is no better place on ship than a
visit to the Wintergarden. This charming, airy space around the main
pool is perfect for relaxing in clean, uncluttered Scandinavian-designed
environment. Even here, our focus is on enrichment, as this is the place
to witness a tea ceremony, or indulge in an afternoon tea service,
complete with hand-selected teas, finger sandwiches and pastries.
Another place to gather for a bit of more quiet time, and definitely not
to be missed and a wonderful surprise to find included on the Viking
Star, and not to missed is the charming Tea Room and again
you will find just about every type food to suit your hearts desire
scattered around the ship to feast upon and most definitely enjoy!
Then stop in the Tea Room for the calm and an inspiring exotic tea and
something to go with that.
Dining will be an extremely enjoyable experience in any of the fabulous
new 'dining areas' and just about every type food imaginable along with
some of the more casual area eateries, and of course this is a
Scandinavian ship so there must be some Scandinavian specialties, and
those you will find in the Viking Deli!
Explorers' Lounge
The notion of civilized camaraderie in elegant surroundings is what
inspired us to create the Explorers’ Lounge, where fellow travelers can
share their latest adventures. It is the perfect setting to celebrate
firsts, whether glimpsing your first fjord or savoring Aquavit. With
two-story panoramic windows for maximum views plus a selection of craft
beers and the Viking Deli, this is the perfect place to relax and take
in the scenery
The Verandah * stateroom [all rooms are Verandah rooms] on the
Viking Star, with the exception of the Suites of all types that we
do not have artist's images for just yet. The Veranda is 270 SF, a
space that you will completely and totally enjoy. The Deluxe
Veranda is also 270 SF with additional amenities with your own
coffee brewer to partake of on your verandah, with many amenities but
most notabley your own iPad and a King sized bed. Here is where
you will see those INCLUDED items like a mini-bar replenished daily with
snacks and soft drinks, free wi-fi and guaranteed reservations in the
specialty restaurants like the Chefs Cafe or Itlaian Grill and priority
reservations in the Restaurant.
Then upgrade to the Penthouse Verandah at over 338 SF. This is
the ultimate combination of deluxe comfort and value, Penthouse Verandas
feature a generous sitting area and a spacious bathroom with luxury
shower and toiletries. Highlights include complimentary shoe shine and
pressing services. Enjoy additional and priority dining reservations,
higher priority embarkation and shore excursion reservations, a mini-bar
replenished daily with snacks and alcoholic beverages, and more.
Next is the Penthouse Junior Suite at over 405 SF where you'll
enter a world of exclusive privileges by selecting a Penthouse Junior
Suite. Located toward the front of the ship, these beautiful two-room
junior suites offer quick and easy access to the Explorers’ Lounge, Spa,
Star Theatre, and Wintergarden. Enjoy
a wealth of amenities, many which reflect those found in our Explorer
Suites, including three complimentary and priority reservations at both
The Italian Grill and The Chef’s Table, dry cleaning service, and a
spacious sitting area large enough to entertain new-found friends.
Breathe in the sunset from your large balcony, while sipping a cold
beverage from the mini-bar—this is an elevated experience to savor.
Then the very impressive Explorer Suite from 757 to 1163 SF
Our most spacious and luxurious accommodations, an Explorer Suite offers
sweeping views, either over the ship’s bow or from the aft. Guests who
choose one of these 14 exclusive staterooms will be pampered with a
wealth of amenities and privileges, including top priority stateroom
availability upon embarkation, priority shore excursion and dining
reservations, and a Viking Explorer Bed with luxury linens. After a day
spent exploring the world’s wonders, these beautiful rooms are the
perfect retreat in which to relax and wake up the next day refreshed,
revitalized and ready to venture out to the next port of call…after
breakfast on one of the largest private verandas on the ship.
Certainly not least is the Owner’s Suite at 1,448 SF
When Viking Star debuts in 2015 the lavish Owner’s Suite will, quite
simply, be the best stateroom aboard. This immensely spacious suite will
be available for booking in 2014, after Viking’s Chairman, Torstein
Hagen, has completed personally designing it.
Verandah Bathroom Amenities offers all the comforts needed to enjoy your
cruise.
Infinity Pool cantilevers over the Stern of the Ship,

is located around the main

The Main Pool is located on the roof and opens during
warmer weather. and can be enjoyed rain or shine and features a BBQ area
that can be seen at the end of the pool image shown at the left and is
located on either side of at the end of the pool. There is also a
theatre there.
And for you Spa enthusiasts this is the ultimate spa that you will enjoy
to your hearts desire. The Sauna Fire and Ice room is truly unique.
And especially if you enjoy it Scandinavian style [with clothes on
please] and hit the Sauna, then head over to the 'Snow Room' and enjoy
this fantastic room while it snows on you and you cool off! Then
head back to the Sauna until you're ready to hit the snow room again.
And yes it is free to use and you only pay for spa services. Again

Entertainment – Main Theatre
Our main theater features live performances that bring you closer to the
culture of our destinations. We also pull back the curtains of our
destinations with cinema in our two movie theaters, which show first-run
films as well as destination-driven classics. Our theaters are always
buzzing with fresh insights from our enrichment talks featuring the
history, art, culture and upcoming ports. To keep you in comfort, we
have banished uncomfortable theatre seating in favor of soft and
spacious sofa seating.
